    Late Night Words With Friends Saved My Life of the Day: A woman from Missouri was able to save the life of a man on the other side of the world through Words With Friends.

    Beth Legler of Blue Springs connected with an Australian woman named Georgie Fletcher through the popular mobile word game.

    During the session, Fletcher told Legler that her husband Simon wasn’t feeling well. Legler relayed the symptoms to her husband Larry — a doctor — who was able to determine Simon had a serious heart condition.

    The Fletchers rushed to the hospital, and, sure enough, doctors discovered Simon had life-threatening blockage near his heart. They told him he would not have lived much longer had he not arrived at the hospital that day.

    “I’ve gotta buy that man a beer, he saved my life,” said Simon. “I’d  really like to put my arms around him and give him a big squeeze.”

    The families have yet to meet IRL.
